Republic Airways Reports a 50% Increase in April 2006 Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2006--Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM:RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2006. The company generated 542 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 49.7% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased to 721 million, a 43.8% increase. Block hours were 43,540 in April 2006, an 18.5% increase over April 2005. Load factor was 75.1% versus 72.2% in April 2005. A total of 1,021,431 passengers were carried during the month, a 36.1% increase over the same month last year.
